Director- Crude and Water Marketing

JOB SUMMARYThe Director - Crude and Water Marketing will oversee the marketing of Coterra's crude oil and compressor station liquids. This position will strive to achieve 100% flow assurance by contracting with safe, reliable and environmentally responsible service providers and purchasers, while targeting premium pricing. This position will negotiate favorable third party SWD contracts for disposal and procurement of water for company's needs, and negotiate fresh water supply deals. This position will work closely with the Exploration Team to ensure timely well connections for new deals and to ensure adequate infrastructure build out for existing batteries and markets. Building strong relationships throughout the oil industry and staying abreast of key issues, such as infrastructure limitations, oil gravity pricing implications and customer mergers, are required for this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Work closely with the Exploration Team to stay abreast of infrastructure connect needs for new wells and system expansions for new production behind existing batteries. Timely well connections and system expansions are paramount.• Negotiate crude oil sales, gathering and transport contracts and compressor station purchases. Build outstanding working relationships with service providers.• Develop and assess area competition for larger development areas. Implement strategies to ensure the company has maximized its options once the primary contract has expired. Spreading new business among multiple area service providers is preferable.• Communicate and meet with the Production Teams to forecast production volumes by grade to obtain the best possible pricing options for undedicated oil volumes.• Track industry publications and projects and have constant interaction with industry counterparts to stay abreast of key issues including infrastructure limitations, expansions, oil quality pricing considerations and other market dynamics.• Provide land support by seeking approval, documenting releases or exchanged acreage• Provide Accounting support including the review and approval of invoices, providing accrual data and other support measures.• Manage contract renewal expirations well before the contract is about to expire. Leverage renewals with new business opportunities.• Effectively present to Executive Management for Quarterly Presentations, Project Recommendations and Seeking Project Approvals.• Provide timely recommendations and address issues that could be impactful to Coterra's ability to maximize production or pricing.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE• Proven leader that can effectively lead its staff and work effectively, across peers and others across the organization• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.• Extensive contracting experience is needed to ensure key issues are addressed including timely connects, operational performance, performance penalty language and releases should the service provider fail to perform• Ability to run economics and perform detailed analyses to support recommendations are essential• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint are essential, and proficiency in Excel is required• Strong knowledge of the various crude markets including Midland, Cushing, the Gulf Coast and international markets in conjunction with the transport costs, arbitrage, and risk management between each.• Understand the importance of options and versatility in oil marketing contracts including transportation and market outlets, purchasers, take-in-kind rights, flexibility with land trades, contract extensions, etc.Education RequirementsMin/PreferredEducation LevelDescriptionMinimum4 Year / Bachelors DegreeBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance or related field preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDWork is typically performed indoors in an office environment. Incumbents must be able to perform work which includes typing, sitting and standing. In the event that incumbent visits operations worksite, personal protection equipment, including head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame resistant clothing is required. Safety rules including OSHA and DOT requirements are strictly enforced.
