Summary
The Support Specialist Automation will be responsible for the management of specified products and accounts to achieve sales growth. Can determine the most effective way to achieve Fronius USA Automation business initiatives without micromanagement. Will be a liaison between Fronius USA Automation and customer personnel.
Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Report to and assist the Segment Manager Automation
  • Interact with Austrian Automation department to ensure accuracy of part numbers pricing
  • Back up to Sales & Service Administrator – Automation
  • Responsible to insure clear communication to Fronius Automation customer before and after equipment shipment and installation.
  • Support Fronius USA direct sales force, distributors, and partners
    • Quotes
    • Weld samples
    • Equipment questions
  • Execute Fronius USA Automation marketing strategies and tactics
  • Self-efficient planning of customer visits, trainings, meetings, and courtesy visits
  • Support dedicated end customer visits, demos, and application work perform in the Houston Automation facility
  • Responsible to maintain all communication, appointments, opportunities in the Fronius CRM tool
  • Responsible to understand and know activities of the dedicated customers in order to inform Fronius procurement department with forecasts to insure stock availability of equipment, wear and spare parts
  • Responsible for constant grow in revenue in conjunction of maintaining margins for Fronius Automation
  • Responsible to make sure that his/her knowledge of the Fronius product line is constantly refreshed in order to provide excellent support to customers
  • Responsible to have constant communication with the Fronius Tech Support Department and making sure, on a self-driven basis to receive needed or necessary product training
  • Analyze and interpret account sales results and business trends to identify opportunities
  • Develop partnerships with customers by building business and personal relationships at all levels- top management, key decision makers, plant and receiving operations, advertising department, accounts payable, Field supervision and plant level management and personnel
  • Develop and conduct all major presentations, program rollouts, product launches, etc. for Automation Hand-Held Product line.
  • Understand strategic direction of assigned accounts. This direction should be used as a guideline for developing account specific business plans
  • Provide and plan training with direct sales, distributors and partners on specified equipment
  • Promote and support the “Fronius Way” philosophy
Requirements
  • Possess a valid passport, or has the ability to obtain and pay for a valid passport
  • Must be willing to travel 20% of the time
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related area (Welding)
  • 5-8 years of experience in the industrial market
  • Willing to learn welding and welding processes
  • Proven analytical ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage executive, mid-management and technical decision makers within a single organization
  • Proficient use of personal computers: Windows 95/98, NT, XP, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, Outlook, CRM (Customer Relationship Management Software) etc.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Evidence of goal orientation Business Skills Required
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with account management
  • Understands field-based functions that are required at account level

  • Must comply with all safety and health standards established by Fronius USA, LLC and federal, state, or local requirements
  • Ability to bend and reach, with repetitive motion

  • Vision 20/20, with or without correction
  • Physical demands of the job include: standing, use of hands to manipulate objects, talking, hearing, looking, typing, walking, twisting, and bending
  • Employees could be requested to lift, carry, reach above the shoulder, stoop, squat, kneel, and crouch
  • Employees could be required to lift up to 70 pounds
  • Employees will perform duties in an office environment and a field setting
  • Employees will be occasionally exposed to tripping hazards
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low to medium
