Hatch is seeking a Turnover Coordinator with experience in heavy industry experience in the Houston, TX office. The Turnover Coordinator working from the project site is responsible for the overall planning of mechanical completions tracking (Stage 1), turnover and acceptance management from the Contractors to the Pre-Commissioning Team as well as handover management from the Project Pre-Commissioning team to the Owner’s operations team to the highest safety and quality levels within time and costs constraints.


Responsibilities:


  • Work under the Pre-Commissioning Manager’s leadership
  • Responsible to set project turnover procedures (Quality Tracking, Walk-Downs, Punch Listing, etc.) and implement with various site contractors
  • Responsible for all safety planning associated with the project completions execution methods selection, with support of the Pre-Commissioning Manager and Site Health and Safety Manager.
  • Coordinate with construction planning team to align commissioning systems are coordinated with construction work packages, engineering and procurement.
  • Become a power user of Pims Omega (Completions System), finalize system implementation, keep system current, train site resources (contractors and Hatch construction team).
  • Organize and coordinate final walk-downs with Contractors and Owners, track quality checksheets, ensure completeness of checks, declare when subsystems are ready for Turnover (transfer of care, custody and control).
  • Produce Turnover Package Report from Completion System for sign-off of acceptance of Subsystems
  • Inform via notifications all the parties.
  • Act as a guide to every party with regards to each party’s roles and responsibilities with regards to the Turnover process.
  • Prepare KPI reports with leading and lagging indicators and issue weekly.
  • Maintain commissioning scoped drawings.
  • Cooperate with the Construction and Operational Readiness Manager in the planning of transfer packages.


Knowledge/Skill/Ability Requirements:


  • Demonstrated health and safety management focus in the commissioning phase of project delivery, and extensive knowledge of health and safety management procedures, safe work practices, and applicable legislation.
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of previous relevant site experience.
  • Strong leadership skills, the ability to lead a team and fit into a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Experience using Visio or similar tools to communicate commissioning sequence, organizational charts and workflow processes is an asset.
  • Effective report writing skills, planning and organizational skills.
  • Able to communicate directly with the client on key issues.
  • Extensive knowledge of all phases of construction and commissioning operations relating to field activities of all engineering disciplines, commissioning practices, procedures and techniques, and applicable codes and standards.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of equipment, tools, and technologies used in commissioning.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of testing procedures, methodologies, technologies and standards used in commissioning.
  • Experience with a completions management system is a must
  • This role requires travel to the project site on a FIFO basis.
