Job Overview

The Communications Specialist is responsible for providing clear communications across multiple functions of the organization to ensure successful execution of marketing programs and key campaigns while supporting brand strategy and culture. In this role, you will be in charge of managing all internal communications content distribution along with their associated platforms to drive employee engagement and advocacy. The Communications Specialist will work across teams including Marketing, Human Resources, IT, specific business units and executive leadership to support our mission and evolve our brand story. The ideal candidate will be a skilled storyteller with exemplary interpersonal skills and a passion for creating dynamic, measurable experiences. This role will be responsible for assisting with the development of brand image, monitoring press releases, media, articles, and other related marketing materials for promotion and visibility. This role reports directly to the Vice President, Marketing and Communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and coordinate internal communications distributed to the entire organization including communications updates, announcements, newsletters, and other materials as needed
  • Manage the daily use of internal communication platforms (i.e., intranet, town halls, etc.) to promote APTIM's vision and growth priorities
  • Build employee centric culture and engagement by assisting with the development and execution of internal communications plan
  • Provide support to all APTIM employee events such as webinars, conferences, town hall meetings, etc.
  • Conduct internal employee surveys to measure awareness of business goals and efficacy of newly developed communication tools
  • Assist with development of content and/or output of corporate news, announcements, organization charts, presentations, technical articles, podcasts, annual report, blogs, white papers, case studies, newsletters, and brochures
  • Support the development of content for social media channels and marketing collateral
  • Perform outreach to press outlets, magazines, influences and build strategic partnerships to grow brand notoriety
  • Maintain and manage coordination of marketing tools and platforms to promote efficiency across team
  • Assist in brand adherence/consistency across all strategic business units
  • Measure and present results of communication and marketing efforts
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Strong capability to manage internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, written, and presentation skills with the ability to transform information into engaging content
  • Strong project management and execution skills
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to use Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Keen attention to detail, the ability to coordinate multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work on a collaborative, fast-paced team
  • Manages own time, determines work priorities, and develops plans for short-term work activities to meet agreed targets
  • Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Graphic design, photo and video editing software experience and content production is a plus.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
