  • Develop and implement strategic communication plans, campaigns, and programs that increases internal stakeholder communications, engagement, and awareness.
  • In collaboration with other key stakeholders, support the creation and dissemination of an Annual Engagement and Enablement survey.
    • Support the relative annual improvement of employee engagement by 50%
    • Support the establishment of an enablement baseline and then the relative annual improvement of employee enablement by 50%

In collaboration with key stakeholders, drive Internal Communication Campaigns (including but not limited to 1BakerRipley, Employer of Choice, Culture of Philanthropy, Change Management, BakerRipley LIVE and Pandemic Preparedness/Response) that leverages the range of communication channels and maximizes employee awareness and engagement.

  • Identify, implement and manage communication platforms and vehicles to reach targeted audiences throughout multi-location organization with both on-and-off-site employees
  • Drive the creation of content that supports internal communications objectives: Plan, write and/or edit content for key internal channels such as newsletters, videos, blogs, intranet, memos, flyers, leadership meetings/events and critical employee communications
  • Build relationships with internal teams to assess opportunities to communicate important messages and initiatives
  • Manage an internal communications calendar and content pipeline to ensure continual flow of Agency and departmental success stories, including major initiatives within the Agency
  • Creates monthly reports that track impact and effectiveness of communications
  • Upholds and implementing the Agency’s Brand- ensures consistency in voice
  • Capture digital images through photography as needed
  • Serve as a KEY support/partner to External Communications and CEO Communications team
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills Required:

  • Proven leader in creating an Internal Communications strategy/programs from creation & development to implementation and ongoing support & execution.
  • Attention to detail and exceptional messaging and storytelling skills are essential: ability to write and edit effectively (creative writing, reporting, and journalism)
  • Proven capabilities relative to strategy development,
  • Extensive proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Mail Chimp as well as online analytics or other communication measurement practices.
  • Knowledge and experience using the following channels of communication: email management system, social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube), blog platforms and other communication/project management tools
  • Experience in working with outside vendors such as: writers, photographers, and designers, etc.
  • Experience using design and video editing software is recommended
  • Familiarity with CAN-SPAM rules and list management
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, communication, storytelling, and editing skills required.
  • Proactive, Self-driven/starter, comfortable with ambiguity, complexity and juggling competing priorities
  • Ability to listen to key stakeholders and translate needs into concise communications plans
  • Ability to navigate in highly collaborative, evolving and fast passed work environment
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner

Experience

Required
  • 10 - 15 years: Minimum 10-15 years professional level experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector in similar size and/or complexity of BakerRipley.

Education

Required
  • Bachelors or better in Marketing or related field
  • Bachelors or better in Business Administration or related field
  • Bachelors or better in Communication or related field
