TES has an exciting new opportunity for a professional communicator to take TES further on its journey of connecting, informing and inspiring our global workforce, and engaging and supporting our business partners and Dow Executive leadership to fulfill our global Corporate objectives.

About you

You will lead the communications strategy for TES globally, and will orchestrate and support insightful and engaging communications at multiple levels, through the different available channels to energize and engage our global workforce across Dow.

The role will also lead TES’s Change Management process through focus on the people aspects of change, ensuring stakeholders and sponsors are engaged and sustainable mechanisms are in place for learning and reinforcement on TES’s and Operation’s breakthrough implementations.

Key responsibilities of the Communications Leader role

  • Support Executive communications and events for TES VP and TES LT
  • Support the development and roll-out of TES strategic goals and objectives
  • Facilitate Global TES strategy Summit
  • Ensure effective completion of TES Intranet and SharePoint migrations, with ongoing oversight to create self-sustaining capability for regional and global TES websites.
  • Help drive effective change management and communication through the organization.
  • Create and deploy Global TES campaigns
  • Coach and Mentor global communications focal points and Global teams to enable autonomous and timely content which reaches audiences with maximum impact.
  • Utilize communications focal points and Global team members to create vibrant and organic communications relevant to the strategic and value-adding topics of highest priority for Global TES.
  • Responsible for communications budget and resource management
  • Maintains strong relationships with Corporate and Operations function to ensure good alignment across Corporate, regional and business priorities
  • Engage and educate TES leaders in usage of multiple available platforms for communications

Key responsibilities of change management leader include:

  • Owns and designs change management strategy for TES.
  • Supports Change practitioners in TES with development of strategy and approach including:
    • Change Risk, Sponsor Coalition, and Impacted Groups assessments
    • Communications, Training, Resistance Management, Sponsorship, and Coaching plans
    • Corrective Actions, Success Metrics, and Post-Change Transition
  • Shape TES’s Change Management capability and expand its impact on TES function
  • Engages with functional leaders to understand organization communication needs and pain points, analyze gaps between current at future state, and make recommendations for improving organization effectiveness
  • Maintain links with Change Management specialists in Dow to ensure best practices and processes can be utilized in TES
  • Takes on project change lead role in transformational projects, as deemed necessary and capacity allows.
  • Build and maintain relationships with collaborative partners across Dow.
  • Facilitate change and work process learning events to various audiences including change practitioners, project managers, people leaders and others as assigned.

Required qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 ranking OR Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class ranking in a communication’s related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience in marketing, business communications and/or related communications/Change management disciplines is required.
  • A clear understanding of digital communications and content marketing, as well as excellent skills in writing, editing, and organization.
  • Location: Houston Area the ability to attend workplace meetings in support of senior leadership in face-to-face meetings, summits, visits, and events is essential.
  • Preferred qualifications

  • A Bachelor's or master’s degree in a Communications-related discipline is preferred.
  • A Change Management certification (e.g. Prosci)
  • People leadership experience is beneficial. Commitment to building a healthy, happy, high-performing team – embracing inclusion and diversity, outside-in thinking, creativity, value-add mentality, and clarity in priorities and expectations.

  • Ability to work with a variety of cultures, functions and businesses, along with the skills to manage multiple projects, perspectives and clients simultaneously, prioritizing a diverse range of projects and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, networking, problem-solving, negotiation and leadership skills.

Additional Note:

A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Domestic relocation assistance is available for this role and may be provided based on eligibility.
