WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Read and accurately identify the customer's needs per the Work Instruction Document
- Take necessary measurements and mark garments for alterations with ability to problem solve individual sizing issues
- Perform uniform sewing, alternations, and embellishments with accuracy and efficiency to include taking up stride, lengthening/shortening tails on shirts, tapering shirts, adjusting waists, hemming trousers, mending tears, replacing zippers, applying patches, applying name strips, applying striping and applying patches
- Operate industrial sewing machinery and meet production deadlines
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
WHAT YOU BRING
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Previous experience in Alterations
- Well-versed on industrial Sewing machines
- Ability to effectively read/receive work instructions in English
- Extremely detail-oriented and quality-focused – you're not happy with mistakes
- Solid communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, bend, stretch, twist and lift, with or without reasonable accommodation
