G2 Integrated Solutions (G2-IS) delivers expertise to pipeline operators, utility companies, and other energy stakeholders in six specialized service disciplines: Asset Integrity, Engineering, Field Services, Geographic Information System (GIS) Services, Regulatory Compliance, and Software and Technology.

Primary Purpose:

The Level II NDT Technician is responsible for the NDT operations for which qualified and assigned and should be capable of interpreting and evaluating results in terms of existing codes, standards, and specifications. The candidate must be capable of developing, qualifying, and approving procedures; establishing and approving techniques; interpreting codes, standards, specifications, and procedures; and designating the particular NDT methods, techniques and procedures to be used.

Essential Functions:

  • Make SAFETY the #1 priority by adhering to and enforcing all company safety standards.
  • Responsible for performing various methods of NDT inspections in the methods they are certified and provide detailed examination findings to project management.
  • Maintain a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company / Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern.
  • Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
  • Conduct daily and pre shift safety meetings, toolbox talks, and complete all JSA’s for Job Safety Analysis prior to executing work scope and identify circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety procedures and equipment.
  • Perform Nondestructive Testing, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results.
  • Provide detailed written inspection and turnaround reports, maintains documentation of inspection activities.
  • Collaborate with clientele and third parties in such a manner to benefit the professional reputation of the company. (This communication is in person at the plant / job site.)
  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
  • Assist project management in scheduling actives related to testing and inspections.
  • Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
  • Mobilize to on-site facilities and assets including: Above ground storage tanks, Pipelines, Utility Stations, Refineries and Power Plants.
  • Work under the direction of management in a highly collaborative environment with other team members, and consistently deliver excellent client work.
  • Execute job duties safely and in accordance with company policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

    • Valid Level II NDT Certification (ASNT-TC-1A)
    • Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned Level II NDT tasks and interpret results of inspection.
    • Knowledge of NDT equipment and limitations of the NDT methods applied.
    • Minimum of +3 years’ experience of both in-service and out-of-service Above Ground Storage tank inspections; new construction and repair QA/QC experience
      • Certification / Documentation of prior NDT training - REQUIRED
    • MFL experience and/or certification - DESIRED
    • Experience with tank strapping and helium testing – DESIRED
    • High School Diploma/GED/Degree -REQUIRED
    • Travel requirement: up to 50% - Majority of work will be local, but candidate must be open to travel as the need arises
    • Ability to use email, mobile devices, MS Office, and PDF software during your daily activities, including completed technical documentation.
    • Must be able to DOT (compliant) drug test
    • Must be able to pass Fit For Duty (Occupational Physical)
    • Physically able to conduct client site visits including speaking and walking without assistance, climbing ladders, lifting (up to 25 pounds), and maneuvering in confined spaces
    • TWIC - (Transportation Workers Identification Credential)
    • OSHA 10 (OSHA 30 Desired)
    • Confined Space
    • Respirator fit tested (current)
    • Basic Plus
    • 1st AID / CPR
    • Mandatory PPE – Personal Protective Equipment will be company issue.
  • Driving / Transportation:

    • License/Certification: Possession of a valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record is an on-going requirement.
