LeFevre Law PC is a boutique firm that advises employers and insurance agencies on compliance with the Internal Revenue Code, HIPAA, Employee Retirement and Income Security Act (ERISA) and other employee benefits laws. Our holistic, proactive approach to benefits compliance involves leveraging web-based software—custom-built by our sister company ERISAfire LLC—to automate transactional tasks and build hyper-customized compliance calendars. Job Description:

LeFevre Law PC is seeking a legal assistant to support our attorneys and paralegals, as we help our clients with health and welfare employee benefits compliance. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and organized with a commitment to accuracy and high-quality work product. The candidate should be tech-savvy and able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally. Opportunities for growth in our small but mighty law firm include a pathway to become a paralegal.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Correspond with clients to gather and deliver documents
  • Manage shared company inbox
  • Assist paralegal team in managing workflow of compliance projects
  • Upload project information in ERISAfire Projects—our custom-built, client-facing project management software—and, as command of ERISAfire software grows, perform front-line software support
  • As proficiency in benefits compliance subject matter increases, prepare first drafts of contracts/plan documents, government forms and compliance communications
  • Administrative tasks such as scheduling, scanning, filing documents electronically, ordering lunch, etc.
  • Occasionally run business errands
  • Attend weekly company huddle/discipleship meeting
  • Contributing to all-hands-on-deck projects and other duties as assigned

Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Years of Experience: 2+ in office environment

Additional Requirements: Ability to proofread typed material for contextual, grammatical, typographical or spelling errors. Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively in person and by chat, email and telephone. Effectively follow instructions from a diverse group of clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
