Job Description Summary / TWC Summary
Under general supervision is responsible for providing leadership and management of the administrative operations, which includes budgets, organization structure, business operations, planning and accreditation. Provides administrative support for the administrative staff, faculty, students, and other constituents of the law school. This includes supervision and accountability for administrative assistants, student workers, and the daily functions they each perform. First point of contact for administrative services related to the day-to-day functions.

Essential Duties Summary

Provides administrative management support.

Assists with conducting strategic planning operations and overall program. Assist with annual updates to strategic plan.

Assists in providing direction of the Information Systems and Instructional technology areas. Assists Instructional Technology and Assessments in information systems used for learning outcome assessment.

Assists in managing the day-to-day administrative operations.

Assists in the development and monitoring budget and resources.

Acts as liaison with the university administration and various departments.

Participates on university committees, projects, and programs.

Supervises administrative assistant student workers, providing guidance, advice, directions, discipline, acknowledgments, and recognition. It also includes monitoring attendance and keeping track of approving requests for leave and other functions related to the position.

Reviews and approves paperwork submitted by administrative assistants for processing to include but not limited to authority to travel and reimbursement requests, food orders, registration requests, and office supply requests.

Plans, organizes, and conducts departmental meetings.

Orders and maintains inventory of office supplies.

Orients new hires to the administrative assistants support team.

Files and maintains personnel files as needed.

Provides any additional administrative support to the office of the dean, faculty, staff and wherever else needed when necessary. Responds to emails, phone calls and other departmental requests. Assist in the preparation of key documents.

Plans and coordinates shredding and storage services.

Manages mailing and copy requests.

Plans and executes activities in honor of Administrative Professionals Day and other major holidays to help foster better relations among team members.

Plans and schedules administrative assistants to administer faculty student evaluations and the administration of final exams in the fall and spring semesters.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.


Hiring Range
$63,840.00 - $79,801.00

Bachelor’s degree.

Required Licensing/Certification

Demonstrates full/complete knowledge in an area. Familiarity with Banner, Blackboard, Tegrity, and Scantron suites.

Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications.

Work Experience
Three (3) to five (5) years of directly-related job experience in higher education/administration, preferably in finance and budgeting.

Working/Environmental Conditions

Routine office environment.

Sitting or standing in one location much of the time.

Some stooping, lifting, or carrying objects light weight may be required.
