Full-timeWe are in search of an energetic Field Service Electrical Technician to provide support for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing of our company's marine propulsion products and systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble, install, test, troubleshoot, and commission electro-hydraulic analog and digital PLC control systems on shipboard installations.
- Assemble, install, wire, terminate, and test, electrical control panels, motors, variable frequency drives, and other components on shipboard installation.
- Provide routine, scheduled, and on-call service.
- Troubleshoot and repair defects and product failures.
- Conduct dock and sea trials of installed propulsion equipment.
- Complete required documentation on service work.
- Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with company HSE standards and procedures.
GENERAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed or are able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential responsibilities of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations, in order to safely perform the essential responsibilities of the job.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Must show proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Must be capable of verbal communication, hearing, and have adequate vision for reading small print and diagrams.
- Must be able to stand, walk, run, sit, handle or feel objects, tools and/or controls, reach overhead with hands and arms, climb stairs and ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds unaided.
- Must board marine vessels and frequently negotiate shipboard ladders, companionways, compartments, and hatches.
- Must be able to travel more than 50 percent and more than four weeks.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of any ASEE-rated Associate or (AAS) level program or Electronics Technology or an equivalent combination in experience, education, and/or training including U.S. Navy or U.S. Coast Guard “A” or “C” schools in aviation, engines, machinery, sonar, fire control, or electronics.
- Five (5) plus years experience in assembly, installation, or testing of electro-hydraulic systems, to include PLC control systems, in an offshore marine environment.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
