We are currently seeking a Desktop Support Specialist in our Houston office. This position will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment which provides support services over the phone, via email, in person and/or using remote tools.

Responsibilities include:

  • Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems and across a range of software applications
  • Take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service to the customer as soon as possible
  • Escalate incidents to other support teams where necessary, record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system
  • Configure and install new IT equipment based on new hire procedures
  • Close accounts and consolidate data based on employee termination procedures
  • Create, maintain and publish relevant support documentation for Firm systems
  • Maintain hardware inventory
  • Recommend equipment for replacement or upgrade
  • Setup video conference meetings, including testing connections and configuring hardware
  • Provide first-class customer service and other duties as assigned.

This is a hands-on position that involves working in a team-oriented and client-centered environment. The successful candidate will proactively seek opportunities to improve processes, procedures and relationships relevant to job responsibilities. This role has the ability to grow into an IT management position. Requirements for the role include:

  • A four (4) year college degree in Information Technology-related field or equivalent experience
  • Technically proficient in operating and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows OS & Adobe Suite.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to interact with employees of all levels, including managers, directors and lawyers.
  • 2+ years law firm experience preferred, but not required.
  • Understanding of and the ability to perform basic server maintenance, PC hardware maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Be able to listen, work directly with lawyers and staff, answer phones, document problems, and speak and write in terms easily understood while completing help desk tickets for firm employees.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
