  • Be responsible to lead the design, build, test, deliver and support of LMV components and attendant components and subsystems through all program phases including operations support.

  • Supervise and run the development and integration of all components in partnership with enterprise engineering, subcontracts, procurement and production elements as well as our customers to meet all program requirements within the cost and schedule commitments.

Tasks include:
  • Technical oversight of spacecraft in-house developed electronics in addition to management of personnel resources.

  • Verification/validation of key interfaces and requirements.

  • Conduct presentations to customer, Lockheed Martin leadership and executive management at major and minor reviews and program forums to effectively communicate all necessary facets of the organization.

  • Lead and coordinate the engineering corps in product dispositions, certifications, and anomaly resolution for all elements to ensure mission success.

  • Set the standard and expectations across the space segment to ensure that the proper technical/cost/schedule balance is delivered to the program and our customer.

  • Conduct performance appraisals and leading talent for the engineering staff.

  • Identify and develop personnel across the engineering organization.

  • 10+ years of professional experience.
  • US Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

  • Experience with hardware design, analysis and/or troubleshooting of spacecraft electronics.

  • Project Leadership/Management Experience throughout the engineering life cycle.
Desired Skills:
  • Demonstrated usage of Zuken, Mentor Graphics or other schematic capture tool.
  • Has performed Worst Case Analysis (WCA) on at least one Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design.
  • Successfully transitioned at least one CCA to layout.
  • Knowledge of card test requirements and process.
  • Demonstrated leadership, or willingness to lead.
  • Ability to understand electrical circuits, interfaces, and interconnect diagrams.
  • Previous or current Certified Product Engineer (CPE) or equivalent responsible product engineer experience
  • PSPICE, Saber, or other electronics simulation tool experience
  • Excellent presentation, oral and written skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
  • Demonstrated strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Technical experience in full life cycle development of hardware including design, integration, and test
  • Experience with cross-functional teams located in different locations.
  • Must demonstrate leadership skills and behaviors that align with the Full Spectrum Leadership Imperatives.
  • Clear understanding of LMS earned value management principles, techniques, and processes.
  • Experience in leading teams through change as well as operation across multiple production & test centers within LMS. Candidate will demonstrate Strong team building, relationship building, and personal acumen skills to facilitate an effective and diverse team.
  • Ability to motivate a team while embracing diversity and inspiring cultural change.
  • Demonstrated effective written & verbal communication
  • Experience in preparation and participation in major program design reviews (Preliminary Design Review, Customer Design Review, etc…).
