Position Summary:
The successful candidate will develop and maintain detailed construction planning schedules for new construction and renovation work. Utilizing your knowledge, experience, and analytical skills, you will be integral in designing schedules and projections that will further Kilgore’s Lean standards.
Project Scheduler Duties:
  • Develop and maintain schedules and integrated master schedules
  • Support estimating and preconstruction with bid-day schedules to gauge feasibility and potential impacts
  • Prepare presentation schedule for interview.
  • Build a Critical Path Method logic schedule with input from Project Manager and/or the Superintendent
  • Establish baseline schedule using contract schedule.
  • Ensure that the Kilgore activity logic ties to the General Contractor schedule
  • Develop and/or incorporate schedule information from vendors with General Contractor schedule and master program schedule.
  • Create activities, sequencing, and consolidate man-hour data to establish resource loading
  • Provide man-hour breakdowns by task code
    • With support from the Project Manager and/or Superintendent, provide periodic status updates (weekly/monthly/etc.) to include new percent completes.
    • Note any logic changes and provide narrative
    • Identify areas of impact as well as opportunities
    • Provide 3 week “look-ahead” schedules
    • Maintain updated manpower projections and capacity planning
    • Provide “Planned vs. Earned” reports weekly
    • Analyze General Contractor’s schedule updates
    • Assist Project Manager with impact studies as required
    • Make periodic jobsite visits if requested by Project Manager and/or Superintendent
  • Create schedule fragments for change or what-if scenarios.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
Project Scheduler Requirements:
  • 5+ years of construction MEP scheduling experience
  • Demonstrated expertise with MS Office Suite, scheduling software as well as an ability and desire to learn new software systems
  • Experience producing and managing a resource/cost loaded schedule for the life cycle of a construction project from concept to engineering/design to procurement and execution
  • Proven analytical skills and problem-solving acumen in the area of scheduling
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle numerous tasks
  • Must be courteous, professional, diplomatic, and highly motivated
