Administrative Aid
Soccer for Success is the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s innovative youth development program that uses soccer as a tool to combat hood obesity and promote healthy lifestyles for ren in underserved urban communities. Soccer for Success uses sport for social change and strives to address the holistic needs of underserved ren.
JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision, performs paraprofessional work in one or more of several functional administrative programs; responsible for the technical administrative work of a small service program; performs research on a wide variety of special and ongoing projects; and performs related duties as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1.) May be assigned to supervise a small number of general office support employees engaged in separate but related functions.
2.) Process payroll for the department maintaining accuracy on all documentation.
3.) Organizing and disseminating documents.
4.) Operate office equipment including computers and supporting word processing and spreadsheet applications.
5.) Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
6.) Respond to requests and inquiries from the general public.
7.) Attend and participate in staff meetings; stay abreast of new trends within the assigned area of responsibility.
CONDITIONS
Prepare descriptive, basic analytical, and evaluative reports, documents, and summaries in a clear and concise manner; participate in the preparation of reports that present and interpret data, identify alternatives, and make and justify recommendations.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma
Must be at least 18 years of age
English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
Ability to coordinate and administer assigned programs and functions.
Principles and practices of record keeping and records management.
Ability to follow reporting requirements set forth by Houston Soccer for Success and H-Town Soccer Academy.
Ability to work with a variety of people in a multicultural, diverse socio-economic setting.
Licenses/Special Requirements
- Must be able to pass a background check
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
