GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

The E-Banking Operations Support Specialist is responsible for all documentation, processes and procedures related to E-Banking tools including Telephone, Online Account Opening, Online and Mobile Banking solutions for the Credit Union. The specialist will be responsible for ensuring that the credit union’s online member tools are compliant with all e-banking policies and procedures including state and federal regulations including Bank Secrecy Act, CIP/Anti Money Laundering, Office of Foreign Assets Control and USA Patriot Act. This role will provide operational support for the e-banking and electronic based member delivery activities of the credit union.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Verify the new online banking access records are properly established based on the membership details.
  • Document e-banking support policies and procedures and make any updates, as needed.
  • Attend required trainings and e-banking vendor updates.
  • Process e-banking related requests (e.g. trouble tickets, member support requests, branch troubleshooting).
  • Review and update user access for all retail employee in E-banking applications including Alkami, Meridian Link, etc.
  • Be a resource for member service team member questions and make judgment calls to provide support to Managers, in need of an exception or procedure interpretation.
  • Support Member Services team with policy and procedure assistance via phone and email.
  • Create, maintain, and review all Member Service procedures in accordance with predefined policy for all online related operational functions via a centralized database.
  • Monitor daily overall operations of the online delivery and channels.
  • Supports virtual and call center technology solutions to aid in e-banking delivery.
  • Represents the credit union appropriately in its relationships with members, sponsor organizations, suppliers, other financial institutions and similar groups.
  • Ensure adherence to all credit union policies and procedures, all required state and federal regulations, and the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Self-sufficient in handling tickets, day-to-day e-banking related duties.
  • A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to courtesy and tact.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate concepts and positions well while dealing with a diverse group of members, staff, and management.
  • Promote and participate in a collaborative, cooperative and productive work environment.
  • Ability to deliver, encourage and sustain a positive and professional work environment.
  • Significant knowledge of e-banking products, rules, and regulations.
  • Ability to manage the E-banking activities on a day-to-day.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience and college education enough to perform job functions.
  • 3 or more experience in a financial services field.
  • 3 or more years of member or client support preferred.
  • 1 or more years’ experience in online account origination, loan origination, e-commerce or e-banking team is preferred.
  • Previous experience with Ring Central, Alkami or MeridianLink support highly valued.
