Job Title: Part-time Teller Effective Date: 02/072022

Department: Teller

Reports To: Teller Supervisor-(unless other specified)

Supervises: N/A Classification: Nonexempt

Hours per week: Approximately 16-24 per week; days and hours to be announced

Approved By: James Tuggle, President

Role: To assist members with their financial transactions, involving paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments.

E (Essential) or Major Duties and Responsibilities: N (Nonessential)


Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; sells money orders and travelers checks to members; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed. E


Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including answering the telephone, filing, and computer input. E


Cross-sells credit union services. E


Welcomes members and provides routine information concerning services and directs members to appropriate department for specific information and service. E


Balances cash drawer and daily transactions.



Other duties as assigned. E


1. To provide friendly, professional, personal service to all members.

2. To balance at least 98% of the time, being no more than $1.00 off and with total outages not to exceed $50.00 in a six-month period.

3. To process at least 100 transactions per day.

4. To have no more than three posting errors per month.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: Up to six months of similar or related experience.

Education: Equivalent to a high school education.

Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information that may require some discussion.

Other Skills: Ten key calculator and computer keyboard by touch. Must be good with detail to deal with numbers and names.
