Job Title: Creative Director

Summary:
This position leads the Symphonys graphic design and creative production, including print, digital, video, photography, and social media content.
Essential Job Functions:
Uphold a standard for Symphony content, and determine the most effective ways to create and utilize brand content
Create innovative work that conveys the concert going experience in fresh and relevant ways, and lead creative ideation meetings
Maintain the highest aesthetic standard for Symphony content through use of brand logos, fonts, colors, and designs to ensure all creative content reflects the brand image
Collaborate across departments to ensure communications are professional and engaging; serve as in-house consultant and designer for non-marketing needs including fundraising appeals, videos, and letters
Manage the monthly design and production of InTune Magazine, which serves as the in-hall program book
Supervise the Graphic Design Manager and Junior Designer positions responsible for all graphic design, including taking responsibility for quality and completion of projects as well as gaining necessary approvals; work with outsourced designers and agencies as needed
Supervise the Content Marketing Coordinator responsible for creation and implementation of social media content
Oversee the Symphonys social media content, including blogs and developing visual assets. Includes working with the Content Marketing Coordinator on a daily content calendar, upholding a voice and visual guidelines, and requesting and creating visual content such as videos and gifs
Create and execute plans for video and photography features to be used on the Symphony website, social media, PR, fundraising, and emails. Oversee logistics of both film and photo shoots. Serve as the primary liaison with video and photography contractors.
With marketing peers, review analytics across platforms, and use findings to inform content development strategies
Work in-person concert duty and attend off-hours photo/video shoots as needed (about two times per month, involving evening/weekend hours)
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required, with a focus on digital media, graphic design, or similar field of study
At least 8 years of experience within graphic design and/or marketing
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills are a must
Experience with overseeing multiple employees and project management
Years of experience creating cross-platform marketing campaigns from start to finish
Demonstrated experience in managing social media, email, and web platforms, including expertise in features of Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
Experience managing video projects and production; experience with Final Cut or other video editing preferred
Familiarity with a variety of programs including Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe, and Flash
Must demonstrate an ability to prioritize and work well under pressure, multi-task, remain highly organized, and exhibit attention to detail
