Growing Custom Sign Company has immediate opening for a Permit Coordinator. In this position, you will be directly affecting the course and acceleration of jobs through completion. The primary function if to facilitate and prepare permit submissions to local authorities, track status of permits and assist with proper close out of all open permits. You will assist in the flow of information within the sales department, do data entry into our tracker and scheduling software, maintain documentation, use email and telephone to communicate with multi-office staff and customers, as well as perform other tasks and responsibilities as necessary.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Maintain permit status reports and communicate with management/sales and sales support teams regarding relevant information
Assembly of applications/required items for submittal to permitting departments and municipalities
Complete research and code calls with all applicable cities / municipalities to obtain information pertaining to requirements for permits i.e. size and number of signs allowed on a property and restrictions.
Track and communicate approvals
Administrative functions - copies, emails, organizing, filing, data entry, internet research

Outgoing, professional, energetic, a fast learner, highly organized, able to work independently, and good at multitasking while maintaining careful attention to detail
Strong Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) skills, email, data entry, detail oriented, excellent oral and written communication skills required
Handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, detail oriented and organized
Work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects/tasks through to completion
Some familiarity with sign industry terms and common practices is required
Permitting experience, a plus
Minimum 3 years experience in Office/Administrative role
Preferred requirements:
Minimum 2 years of Signage/Construction Administration experience
