MOGAS Industries, Inc. is seeking an experienced Service Expeditor for our Houston-based office.
The Service Expeditor will coordinate the flow of work and materials within service according to priority. Plan, schedule and monitor material movement to ensure continuous completion of valves. Duties include reviewing shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors and communicating with customers to determine the progress of work and completion dates; and compiling reports on the progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Serves as the first point of contact in meeting the needs and requirements of MOGAS Service Customers and Sales representatives
Works with Customers and sales reps on technical information pertaining to valve materials and designs.
Serves as the first point of contact for customer inquiries and repairs in the Service department from inquiry until valve ships.
Notify Customers and Sales Representatives of new shipping dates for orders.
Troubleshooting customer issues and seeks and advises solutions
Will provide support during Canadian shutdowns to ensure correct parts are shipped on time
Make necessary revisions to service orders as requested by various departments, customers, and sales representatives.
Communicate effectively with Engineering to update BOM’s, test certifications, material changes, etc.
Partners with Engineering to update test certs with current testing specifications and order information.
Demonstrates initiative in collaborating, when necessary with MOGAS design and manufacturing engineers to ascertain valve modifications, material selection and cost.
Assist Document Control with updating Unit Configuration BOM’s as required to ensure the latest design is in the system.
Work with Service Engineering and SME on service-related issues or designs
Research and create formal spare parts and valve repair quotes to Customers and Sales Representatives.
Research data associated with service repairs, parts and service trip sales orders.
Responsible for accurate, efficient processing and fulfillment of Service quotations and orders and repairs.
Assist with expediting service orders in coordination with Customers and Sales Representatives.
Partners with planning and manufacturing on expediting Service parts and repairs.
Prepare “To Be Invoiced Report” when service order is ready for shipment and invoicing.
When necessary, prepare and enter all Service orders while verifying each customer purchase order matches quotation.
Working knowledge and understanding of BOM coatings and material codes.
Proficient in reading and understanding machine dimensional drawings.
Pull BOM's and Drawings to quote pricing to Sales reps and Customers.
Work with Service Techs in preparing valve inspection reports to assist in preparing quotations to Customers for valve repairs.
Determines correct sales representative and corresponding commission amount for all service orders.
Issues, receives and closes Vendor Purchase Orders which pertain to service orders.
Expedite service vendors as necessary to ensure on-time shipments.
Perform related Service administration tasks and service work as needed and other duties as assigned which includes.
Assist as needed with booked dollars by reviewing End of Month reports with the sales assistants
Assist in keeping customer VMP updated with the most current and accurate data.
Maintain inventory count for Service Dedicated Inventory.
Assist as needed in disassembling, inspecting valves. Also completing required tear-down reports.

Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
One to three years related experience in a manufacturing setting
Ball valve knowledge is a plus

Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience with an MRP system.
