Overview

The Remote Site Manager. In the eyes of the client, this is the person that best represents our company. Direct point of contact with client representatives and front-line customers. This individual will possess extremely strong communication, organizational and time management skills. Responsible for the overall management of the services within Business & Industry. Responsible for successfully coordinating and supporting all activities including ultimate financial responsibility by management of the WOR. Works with all levels of the facility staff in all matters relating to the cleanliness of the facility.

This position will manage remote sites with anticipated travel at 50%


Key Responsibilities

Achieve Budget/Financial Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of financial data and statistics.
  • Controls expenses within area of responsibility.
  • Develops and recommends department operating budget and ensures that department operates within budget.
  • Evaluates and justifies supplies, equipment and purchases as needed.

Customer Relations

  • Addresses and ensures Business & Industry client Needs are met.
  • Demonstrates good/effective communication skills in client.
  • Demonstrates strategic planning and development to meet client expectations.

Operation Excellence

  • Demonstrates quality leadership in meeting performance plans.
  • Acts as a positive role model; proactive in the achievement of the facility goals and objectives.
  • Participate and add value to client committees, meetings, activities (i.e. Infection Control/Safety Committee)
  • Demonstrates facility safety expertise and leadership
  • Maintains an environment that is in sanitary, attractive and in an orderly condition.
  • Demonstrates understanding and competency in interviewing candidates for openings.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of EEO policy.
  • Demonstrates and promotes ESFM culture, values and management philosophy.

People Management

  • Coaching management and hourly employees.
  • Encourages and nurtures associate creativity and innovation within the ESFM program.
  • Develop and maintain performance appraisals for staff on a timely and accurate basis.
  • Encourage staff to participate in additional training, education, and/or self-development.
  • Maintains a harassment free environment with good employee morale by demonstrating good employee relations practices and utilizing HR consultation when needed.

Administration

  • Keeps administration informed of activities, needs or concerns.
  • Maintains records and statistics for administrative and regulatory purposes.
  • Establishes and implements policies and procedures for departmental operations.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience:

Required

  • High School Diploma, GED preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • 1-2 years Facility Management experience
  • Hands on technical knowledge in HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and general construction
  • 3-5 years vendor management
  • Ability to travel up 50%

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in written formal and oral presentations
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
  • Ability to maintain organization and control in an ever-changing environment.
  • Must exhibit self-initiative, accountability, flexible and good leadership skills as well as political savvy.
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures.
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Proven critical thinking skills.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
